Happy Birthday Kinley Rae

{Smash Cake}

I've had the pleasure of capturing Kinley since she was four months and now we celebrate a huge milestone in her little life: Her First Birthday.   This was my first time photographing a smash cake session and I loved it.  What fun it was to watch it unfold behind the lens. Her excitement and anticipation of crawling to the cake to that last shot of utter disappointment when that sweet, sugar, goodness got taken away.  This was such a joy both for Kinley and me :)

Spreading a little Mia Love

{Mia Lane: Six Month Milestone} 

Half a year old and just look at those beautiful eyes.  Precious.  I love that I've had the opportunity to capture Mia since birth and the milestones like now at 6 months, she is sitting up and being playful in front of the camera.  In this shoot I experimented with backdrops and lighting.  I was pleasantly surprised with how these came out.  And now considering making a home studio for more shoots like these.
