Pretty Little Girl

{abby turns five}

I love doing birthday shoots.  To capture a specific moment in a child's life to document these milestones.  The years seem to go by so quick and it's so important to remember the moments.  This sweet girl has some serious poses.  I didn't have to do much work as she was such a natural in front of the camera.  Some of the shots were just stunning.  Loved her her outfits and those boots are to die for.  Makes me a little jealous as I'm really jonesing for some of my own.

Baby to Toddler

{aliya turns one}

I love when past clients come back.  Makes me a happy girl and confirms that I'm doing something right.  So we are commemorating this little one turning "The Big One."  I also happened to get some good ones of her brothers too.  Fun shoot, fun setting in the beautiful Dunedin.

Mia, meet cake.

{Smash Cake Session}
Holy smokes this year went by so fast.  Seems like I had just taken a step out of my comfort zone and made myself a business.  Her momma took a chance on me to capture newborn photographs of her new baby girl and now Mia turns ONE.  Love these sessions because you get to see the wonder of sugar when they touch those lips and the funny expressions they give when one realizes that they get to put their little fingers in that awesomeness and taste heaven.  Miss Mia will always have a soft spot in my heart because she was the first baby that allowed me to capture the first moments of her sweet little life.  Happy Birthday Mia Girl!  I hope we get to share many more!!

Rain Delay

{fun kiddo project}

So it's rainy day and I needed to keep my kids occupied for a little while.  I've been wanting to do this project for a while now and just haven't had the chance.  I was inspired to do it when I saw it on another photographer's site that I follow on Facebook.  Besides getting a lot of different facial expressions I learned a lot as I was asking them questions and encouraging my girls to tell a story.  Including Braelinn telling me that she wanted to be a Mommy when she grows up "so that I can tell people what to do" Seriously! my kid has it all figured out.  I'm in trouble.

I would encourage you do this project with your kid to document all their different facial expressions and their answers to your questions.   It's easy just sit them in front of a background, ask them questions or for them to tell you a story, and shoot away.  You can even do it on your cell phone.  Convert the images to black and white.  Put them in a collage using an app and voile!

Under the Shady Tree

{The Bower Family}

It was a perfect morning for this family session in Safety Harbor.  While HOT even at 8am, this family was both cheerful and playful as they got in front of the camera for some picturesque photographs.  You can tell by this session that this family has a lot of love going on especially those two blue eye boys.  So handsome, so precious. It was such a pleasure to capture this moment in time for this sweet family.

One Little Love

{Mix Family}
Its aways fun to venture out and try new places.  The Mix family is new to the Tampa Bay area and wanted to get some photographs of their sweet family.  I've lived her for 10 years now and have never been to Fred Howard Park in Tarpon Springs before.  What a hidden little treasure.  Park mixed with beach, mixed with beautiful trees.  Made for a fun session with lots of shooting backgrounds.  We had fun catching sweet moments of this family especially their sweet girl.  Full of life, so smart, and truly loved by mom and dad.

Family Beach Session

{The Moreno Family}

Our first attempt of a beach session resulted in major, major thunderstorms.  I'm so glad we waited until the following week because it was gorgeous on Honeymoon Island.  And so is this awesome, beautiful, photogenic family.  Between the colors that they wore, to the lighting of the sun, the adorable Miss Morgan and her stunning big sister Lindsey, it made the perfect setting for a fun, energetic shoot.
